Goodbye Kefalonia

Our last day in Kefalonia :(
We have an evening flight and our host kindly allowed us to stay as long as we liked rather than leave at 10am.
We travelled to a local winery in the morning to do some wine tasting, but it was deserted so we went back to the lovely hillside taverna where we’d had coffee before and enjoyed the view again.
We packed up our stuff and then walked down the path to our local beach for a last swim.

After that, we drove to Argostoli for a very late lunch at the waterside taverna we’d been to before. Mr Turtle showed up again several times while we were eating.

We’re now at the airport waiting for our flight. So far everything is scheduled to be on time, a relief after yesterday’s air traffic control issues.

We’ve had a fabulous holiday here in Kefalonia. If you love swimming and eating out in the sunshine, I’d definitely recommend it!
Seeing turtles has been an amazing bonus too!!
