Butterfly Bonanza

Quite windy this morning so I wasn’t expecting to see any butterflies in Pollok …. but ….. when Holly and I walked very quietly round the rapidly withering Ligularia flowers I spotted two Peacock butterflies.

I don’t usually take my camera out when I’m working in the garden but today I did ….. hoping that I might manage a photo of a Goldfinch not taken through the kitchen window ….. no birds but I did spot the Red Admiral resting on one of my Hydrangeas.
