The wheat is in...

...the trailer in the photo and now in the dryer. It rained 14 millimetres more at night, so 58 millimetres total since noon yesterday. It's a lot and even though the weather was quite alright, such moisture just doesn't vanish. Anyway, there was half a load in the trailer waiting and it would have been difficult to dry it alone, so I decided to do the rest after an employee of the combine's owner had thoroughly cleaned all the parts of the fuel system that can be reasonably easily cleaned. I'm afraid there's more dirt lurking in the fuel tank though, so who knows when it will start failing again.

Not much good harvest weather in the forecast and some of the next fields can be difficult in this situation. It looks like this can become the most difficult harvest season in a long time.
