Grass and potatoes

I seem to be spending a lot of time at home just now. I think this is why a day can go by fairly easily without me taking any photographs. This grey weather is not inspiring either. All too often I find myself at the end of the day needing an emergency blip, as I did today!
Earlier I had cut the grass around the house. It was wet but needs must at this damp time of year.  All the grass I cut is piled just above the potato rows. Once the potatoes are lifted I'll cover the earth with the grass to provide a bit of goodness for next year, and stop the weeds from popping up this autumn.
