Medicinal remedies

Cycling home from football I thought I'd pop into Dr Neil's garden for a little wonder. One section is made up of herbs and flowers which have all over the course of history been used medically one way or another..
St John's Wort is a plant I remember always being instructed to ask about, since it interacts with various modern medicines such as warfarin in important ways. Apparently it was used as a diuretic, and also as a cure for bed wetting..

In front of it is the common marigold - once advocated for soothing lactating nipples, or to ease a painful period...

If this stuff comes up in Monday's exam I am laughing.
