Make believe I’m everywhere

As is the custom now. We had brought a box of books with us for our ‘leaving lindisfarne visit to Barter.books’

The lady looked at our box and said 20 paperback or 10 Hardback ; so Si counted out 20 paperbacks and she said ‘let me look at the hardback just in case - and took them all.

They handed me 6 paperback back which they had too Many of but we got a £23 credit added to our balance left from last year and tha total covered the cost of my post card and the eight books we chose.

Then we stopped at a retail park. Si was on the lookout for Proper pies . Whilst Turnbulls had some lovely prepared meat they did not have the required pies .

We stopped in a Carlisle. - we reckoned they would have some. It took us an age to find a park. Eventually we did and still a manage to clock up 5000 steps wandering around looking for them. I had to give up .. and sat on a bench til Si found them. They were worth the wait - well thr sausage roll was. The pies are in the freezer

Then it was home to Boy and Jess packing.

We were okay. Just a bit quiet. And tentative We aren’t sure about the flights … we shall have to wait and see
