Lukla international!

Surfing channels late tonight and came across worst airports in the world program and I said to Mrs UE ' the worst must be Lukla in Nepal' and she said uhm and so an hour later I was proved right but was she impressed? I trekked in the Himalayas many years ago with son recently graduated blipper Running Backwards and we waited several days for a window in the weather to get us up from Katmandu to Lukla, the gateway to the around Everest National Park. I remember this Hilary Tensing airstrip well. We have picture on 35 mm but not taken today as was this pic straight off the tele!
