Big and plump (and eaten)

I'm adding oysters to my selection of seafood ceramics, so I got the shucking knife out today.

I learned to open an oyster on a trip to the Brittany coast with a dozen or so artist friends in the mid eighties. There was a festival going on so we gorged ourselves on cheap, fresh bivalves until we could take no more.

In my experience oysters are not necessarily an aphrodisiac, however after the third dozen you can start to hallucinate!!!
