Knots and Sanderlings

The knot were my target so I don't mind the sanderlings (the small pale birds) being out of focus. This was on the beach of the barrier causeway between Burray and South Ronaldsay. Pretty hot there. I noticed dozens of garden snails sheltering from the sun in an old wartime building (extra). Another extra of waders in flight- turnstones, a knot and a sanderling.
