Made me smile

Finally, we could collect a piece of equipment ordered from the US in June, posted on 2 July, arrived in Joburg 6 July, passed through customs on the 11th. Then it had about a 20km journey to our local post office and arrived today. . Who knew that 20km could take weeks but I guess not surprising given the state of the postal service.

To add insult to injury they had load shedding so their card machine didn’t work resulting in a walk to find an ATM to get cash to pay the duty.

What a palaver! I definitely felt that my ducks were off wandering about somewhere.
