Coffin Route

Not the most celebratory-sounding walking route but we have had a good walk along it this morning, down to and around Russel Water and back to Grasmere. And we had blue skies all the way. Bailey was generally in his carrier but did have a couple of walks, including trotting back into Grasmere.

We bought supplies for a picnic in the hotel gardens and then the three of us joined the queue at the gingerbread shop before having a wander and making a couple of non-gingerbread purchases.

We’ve been out to dinner at the Traveller’s Rest this evening. Lovely food and a cosy pub was a good choice. We made use of another lounge space once we were back before heading to bed. I think everyone should sleep well tonight, well fed and nearly 24 000 steps taken.
