Scorchio!

Here in Scotland, the brief summer weather is the trigger for an ancient tradition known as 'Taps Aff'. This ritual, started in 142AD by Connor Macleod of the Clan Macleod, began when he had a summer job working on construction of the Antonine Wall. One day it was said to be 'pure boilin', man!', whereupon Connor Macleod (of the Clan Macleod) whipped off his gilet and tucked it into the waistband of his kilt, thereby starting a tradition that many men, irrespective of the condition of their bodies, carry on to this day. Connor Macleod (of the Clan Macleod) who is now the store manager of Tesco in Broughty Ferry was not available for comment yesterday.
