Ring

Riding through the forest this morning we came across this circle of pollarded trees, complete with a ring of branches laid around it. Not sure of the purpose but it looks kind of mystical.

Not so magical was a tumble I took earlier in the loop. I wanted to try a single track path but my pals didn't warn me that it might have slippery tree roots along the way. Sure enough I slipped and went down. Now I've got a cut and bruised leg.

You'd think your pals, who have more knowledge of the path, would have warned you not to take the single track when broader horse rides are available!
