Summer Night Lights
Oh how I love the long nights of summer! This is the university library taken at 10pm-ish. It was a balmy evening after a beautifully hot sunny day.
After spending the day in the edit suite (i.e. a small dark room with no windows...) I hared along the M8 to attend the official launch of James Robertson's new novel The Professor of Truth (i.e. the one that I've been recording and editing all week). It was packed, as is only right because, in my opinion, James is the finest Scottish novelist writing today. His last novel, And The Land Lay Still, was a remarkable feat of the imagination: a fictional representation of the last 60 years of Scottish history.
