Big Expanse
Turned into a really nice day, blue sky and puffy white clouds. As the tide was out in the estuary, I walked for a while along the shore. There were birds feeding (mainly gulls), but way out on the mud flats, too far away to photograph successfully. There were a few people out cockling as well.
Tall clouds spanning the horizon added to the scale of the scene in this image, creating a big expanse.
Later I drove round to the beach and explored some rocks where I came across a Wheatear (see extra). I can't decide if it's an Isabelline, which is quite rare, or a Northern. One characteristic of the Isabelline is a pear shaped body, i.e. fuller belly, as opposed to the more prominent chest of the Northern.
Extra: Curious.
