Hilltop details

I returned to the hilltop where I photographed expanses of flowers last week, this time with my macro lens to look at the details. It was a beautiful bright afternoon and a lovely (and very slow) walk. I've not managed to find time for the collage I'd like to make with my favourite flower photos, but the bee on what I've been assuming to be a heather but am not at all sure about, is certainly one of them.

I also enjoyed picking apples in the orchard and raspberries in the overgrown fruit bed, and cleaned and prepared another kilo of the blackberries P has been gathering. P made gazpacho for lunch, with more of our tomatoes and cucumbers. It's such a lovely time of year.
