Vivid Sydney - from the Manly Ferry

One last blip of Vivid Sydney - this time at the end of a trip back from Manly on the ferry. Had a lovely lunch in Manly with a couple of girlfriends. I've lived in Sydney all of my adult life, but have only been to Manly maybe half a dozen times! It's a 30 minute ferry ride across the harbour, crossing the heads which were a bit bumpy today.
Manly is a suburb of Sydney, but seems a long way away. There's a harbour beach on one side, and an ocean beach on the other. The motto for Manly was "Seven miles from Sydney and a thousand miles from care" - and it feels like that when you go there. Even today on a cloudy, wintry day.
However, lots of people commute for work every day, including my daughter who now commutes to Manly for her first "real" job.
