Darap caught taking his own photo of Loch Voil from the viewpoint at Creag an Tuirc. We had a lovely walk up through the woods and had the top of the hill to ourselves. The sun was warm and there wasn't a breath of wind. Using the Merlin bird app we realised that the songs around us were made by robins, goldcrests and song thrushes; couldn't see them at all.

We then drove right along the glen and had a picnic lunch by the river before dipping our toes into the icy water.

Later on, we stocked up treats and essentials in Callander, before heading back to our home from home.
