Great Spotted Woodpeckers.
Another trip to the Highlands for a mountain, a 5k parkrun in Inverness and a visit to Abernethy Forest. I first visited RSPB  Loch Garten in my teens when the ospreys first came back to Scotland. That was probably my introduction to Scottish wildlife.
My patience was rewarded when Dad (on the left) came to visit his daughter chick.
