Day 7 Mayia, Kiotari Rhodes
Today we caught the early bus and visited Rhodes Town, one of our favourite places on the island. We were shocked to be picked up by a minibus as we did the same trip last year on a full coach. We were even more shocked that the minibus driver was texting and searching the Internet as he drove. Shocking! Fortunately, a different driver picked us up. Accidents are a big problem on Rhodes and we saw the after effects of 3 today.
We went to Mandraki Port to see the windmills, then we went to the Northern most part of the island where the sea was a stunning turquoise, we walked around back to the new part and shopped in some of the older part. I managed to find my favourite shop and bought another beautiful sarong. The lovely assistant gave me a free ceramic butterfly as she remembered me from last year. To cool down, we had a few drink stops and had a huge cake for lunch.
When we got back to the hotel, I enjoyed a swim in the pool.
