My Cup Runneth Over

On This Day In History
2004: Russian school siege ends in bloodbath

Quote Of The Day
"If you survived, you have to be a coward. When the explosions started, the person next to me was torn to pieces. I still don't know why I survived."
(Elena Kasumova, teacher at Beslan School)

I'm not sure why the Mukogawa was running over this morning; we haven't had any rain for over a week.

Out early to beat the heat. Fat chance; it was already 29 degrees at 07:30, and 33 degrees by the time I finished my 22k run at 11:15. I managed to run the whole route, apart from two stops for a Monster and a cold coffee at vending machines.

To think, having lived through the horror of the Beslan massacre, survivors are today regarded as cowards and, even worse, murderers. I have so much to be thankful for.

I Feel Loved (102 degrees Fahrenheit)
