Castles from the air

Budapest is such a seductive city. One that is always difficult to leave! However, leave I must and headed for the airport on another very sunny day.

Flight with the so called national flag carrying airline left on time and landed on time. Grand views of the dwindling Danube and then the burgeoning Main and Rhine rivers as we headed for the North Sea off Belgium. A gentle coast in from there to T3 at LHR.

I also saw planes hurtling in the other direction seemingly very close to us like cars on a busy motorway. I commented on one close encounter to the pilot, as I left the plane, who assured me we were 1000 ft apart and 1000 ft above!

Sadly my final hope of a smooth sustainable journey home by a coach were dashed as it was over an hour late and I had already built in a two hour wait for its scheduled departure. Train strikes were the reason for the delay.

Thank you to those who kindly commented on my Blip milestone yesterday. I was unaware another one had arrived! You are very kind.

My blip shows a familiar landmark as we were landing at LHR.
