August Moons

I realize we are into September, but my ‘tech support’ stitched them together, so what could I do?

August, as most people know, had two full moons. On August 1 we had the Sturgeon Moon. I tried very hard to get a good shot of the rising moon, and the later reflection off the water, but with little light and no tripod, I failed miserably.

For some reason, I took one last shot of the moon through the trees, and this was the result. I cannot explain the colours of the sky and water. I wish I could, so I could do it again. I suspect the tree had something to do with it.

The second shot is the Blue Moon at the end of the month. Still with no tripod, it was difficult to get anything better than this. The wispy clouds early in the moonrise were more dramatic,
