Connemara National Park

A longish drive to Connemara National Park for a walk into the mountains. Far too many tourists for our liking but there was room for everyone. I followed the mid range walk while John went 'right to the top'!
On my return to the motorhome I came across the Graveyard for the boys from the Letterfrack Industrial School - 65 marked spots for 10-15 year olds who had died at the school while under the 'care' of the Society of Christian Brothers! The gate is adorned with pairs of boys' shoes
Really worth looking up, as well as the background to Peter Tyrrell - a former pupil. Such cruelty!
Then an even longer drive through the mountains - so beautiful with perfect afternoon light- to the beach at the end in The Lost Valley - we found it! Difficult road but the beach is wonderful and Pepper loves it. We are staying here tonight.
