Spots and Stripes

Today I took my new camera to the butterfly farm to see what shots I could get. I had a great time taking lots of different photos and trying out some of the settings. There were so many different shapes, sizes and colours and some were really beautiful. I was surrounded by delicate flapping creatures. A few even rested on my camera as I walked round. I took this to be them giving me their blessing for taking more shots.

There were so many images to choose from but I like the detail of this shot and the fact that you can clearly see his big eyes and long proboscis all curled up. I think it's worth enlarging to get the full affect.
