seeping sap

I think this shot would be better if it was taken while the sun was shining on it. But this afternoon was hot, muggy (at least for Colorado), with slightly overcast skies.
This reminds me of a tear frozen in time, but I think it is still elongating. And there are other sap-cicles around the sawn off limb that are still in progress. So I will keep this in mind for a sunny day.
