As part of the process of recording the castle, before the scaffolding surrounds the entire structure and, ultimately, it is coated with harling and a lime wash, the bare bones have to be planned, stone by stone.
To enable this to be done without Kenny having to abseil/rappel down the walls with a drawing board and a pencil, the entire structure is being photographed using this wonderful beast. A very stable platform, on a still day. Mike, the operator, usually fits a GoPro or a Lumix compact into a bracket on the front and works it via a small tablet-sort-of-thing hung round his shoulders.
