Street Art...

The heatwave week begins! Thankfully not too scorchio today, so we headed to Southend as Dad needed to use the bank, and that gave me an opportunity to wander around photographing a lot of the amazing art work that has appeared over the weekend thanks to the City Jam festival.

many of the artworks are temporary - like this one -  so are on boards along the high street and in parks, so will only be here for a week.  There are also many much larger pieces on the sides of buildings that will hopefully stick around for some time so hope to share photos of those on other occasions!! Much nicer to look at than bare walls and I'm always amazed that these pieces of art are created just by spray paints!

Had a rescue mission in the kitchen last night - a very large moth  flew in, I've never seen one so big!, and managed to catch it and take it outside, it was apparently an 'Old Lady' moth! Such an imaginative name!
