The rutting season
To Boscombe for bread first thing. Returned early for radiators to have replacement heat allocators fitted (they measure the energy consumption as we have a communal system).
Fitters delayed as had problems in the first couple of apartments. Unable to do ours - turns out if they remove the wall fixings on the original radiators (which we have too), the rad leaks. So they're consulting with their HO in Reading what needs to be done.
Became very hot, we'd kept all the windows and blinds closed so not too bad inside. Went out at 7pm, still warm and muggy, but at least there was a breeze.
Took this photo of the new 'youngsters on the block'. See the batons attached to the horns on two of them (so they don't get stuck in the wire fencing!!! The third has lost his, probably from heavy jousting. I hate seeing them doing that.
