Nesta’s first tournament as part of the Extra team cannot be described as one for the sports annals. Rather, it’s one the team hopes to learn from.
The stats do not lie: matches played, 3; games won, 0; games tied, 0; games lost 3; goals for, 0; goals against, 11. Encouragingly there were a lot of completed passes and an extraordinary number of saves. Nevertheless the team atmosphere is fun and positive and Steve the coach relentless in his encouragement and enthusiasm.
