St Andrews

Grew up there. Great place to be. Anyway, this old postcard shows the harbour taken from the pier. Some of the buildings have since been replaced by flats.

I am puzzled by the tall industrial chimney to the left of the square tower (St Rules). It no longer exists, and my rummaging around Google has proved fruitless. I'm not aware of an industry that would have such a chimney in what must be pretty close to the town centre.

Any ideas?
