Peaceful Interim

Well, we made it safely to Faro, though there was a lot of turbulence on the flight - am sure it's getting worse lately.

So good to have a walk and a chat on a beach that was a total contrast to when we left - hardly a soul and cool enough to be pleasant - one plane arriving (can you see it?), but not as many as in August.

And then the drive to the conference centre here in Sintra, quite stressful, mainly because I was trying to sort a session for tonight, use Google maps, and dreading having to socialise, and basically, having to adjust to something and somewhere so different.

Anyway, said session went off well (albeit riotously), our colleagues have been lovely, and am enjoying being back in the land of good food for reasonable prices.

Now to a welcome (bunk)bed.

Gratefuls:
- getting here safely, and everyone else as well
- losing a day of the conference (makes it easier)
- that it rained properly in Mourão on Saturday

(Will probably have to be phone photos for now, till I work out what to do about my lens. Good to have the challenge.)
