Lake Tekapo

From our vantage point after walking up Mt John, we looked down on Motuariki Island in Lake Tekapo, and across to the Richmond and Two Thumb Mountain Ranges.  Roundhill Skifield, where we were yesterday, can be seen centre left, with groomed runs clearly visible.

Norwest clouds and associated high winds were developing, partly the reason for Roundhill Skifield being closed today.
