Haar
The lovely warm weather has given rise to a sea fret or mist or Haar which has made it a bit cooler today and the sea less blue. We went to Robin Hoods Bay and Boggle Hole and back on a series of buses which were less than punctual!.
We saw people looking for fossils and bashing big lumps of rock with a hammer. I pointed out a tiny star shape in a bit of rock to one couple. They went back and managed to extricate a little fossilised creature which they gave to me. I’m informed it’s an crinoid.
Photo is Robin Hoods Bay with the tide well out.
