Groynes at Sunset

I've re-joined the camera club and joined G and H on the first outing this afternoon at Hunstanton. I'd never been before and was interested to see the amazing cliffs - a site of special scientific interest (see extra with a rotting trawler in the foreground). The strips of multi coloured rocks were laid down at the bottom of the oceans between 93 million and 112 million years ago, this land being closer to the equator at the time. The layer at the top is white chalk, then red chalk in the middle and carstone at the bottom. Unfortunately this afternoon was a bit hazy, poor G had to drive back along the coast road in a heavy mist. My main photo is of the groynes at sunset, I like the light and textures. It was lovely to finally visit Hunstanton.
