Hello my new friend!

The sun shone from dawn (and it's still shining after 9pm tonight), bright blue sky, hardly a cloud - in fact, just perfect for Loans Annual Summer Gala Fun Day! Brilliantly organised by Team Gala, excellently compered by the master MC Ricky, and very well supported by volunteers and the village community! Bouncy castle, beer tent, dog and 5-a-side competitions, a climbing wall, plants, books, baking and numerous other stalls and lots, lots more - it certainly was a fun day.

We invited people to send us a blip for today. It was difficult to choose which one to use but, in the end, it was the T-shirt that won it! Well done Claire! And thanks to everyone else who sent us a photo. We shall put the others on our website in the next couple of days for you to have a look at. And, if anyone else took any photos that they would like to send us, please do.

Finally, thanks to the Gala team for plugging blipfoto and letting us play a small part today.
