Wimpole Hall

Beautiful sunny day today - so we packed a quick picnic and off to Wimpole Hall for the afternoon. We'd never been there before and was pleasantly surprised by the fact that it had everything - a gorgeously proportioned house, "capability" Brown landscapes, Parterre and walled kitchen garden. They were very proud of the new compost heap that they had built ouside the kitchen garden and suggested we go and have a look.

We did look. It was a compost heap.
