Speke Hall

A lovely day being a tourist! I dropped my baby granddaughter at nursery this morning - her first full day. I’m off to collect her again in about half an hour.

So I’ve had the morning with my friend the Veep to visit Speke Hall, near Liverpool airport. You can really hear the sound of the planes taking off! The Hall is a lovely Tudor pile, parts dating from the first Elizabethan era. There was also a small walled garden which had a very nice wooden greenhouse. All very fruitful!

I’m going to finish off now so I’m in good time to collect the little Baggins. I’ve missed her today.
