Camouflaged....

I nearly didn't spot this shield bug. And once I did I realised this decaying plant was full of them. What fantastic camouflage!

I've also added an image of part of an exposed wasp's nest. It was completely devastated. Apparently badgers do dig out underground nests to eat the grubs. And due to the thickness of their fur don't seem to mind the attacks by the wasps. It's nature in the raw but so sad for the wasps who would have spent the whole summer building this nest for their young.
