Cluster....

.....of little Manuka flowers, delicate with their small white petals, purplish centre and short stamens, flowering period October through to December, some varieties are pink flowered.

From December through to February Kanuka is in flower, also white with purplish centres, but the petals are larger, stamens are longer, flowers are not usually clustered, white flowers only.

Both plants are endemic to New Zealand.

Friday.....I went for a wander in a local park with native plantings, enjoyed listening to birdsong as I strolled. Also nice to have a couple of hours away from my garden, came home had lunch and pruned some of my hydrangeas, it has since clouded over again, 17C, a drop from yesterday.
