Cleared for take off

While S was having a yoga session with one of her teachers I drove to Mill Bay where I had a walk on the exposed sand water and mud. From a distance this Kawau paka (Little shag or Little pied shag) appeared to be a Kawau tui (little black shag). Once I saw the yellow beak, I recognised it was the more common Kawau paka. I hope that it had had a successful search for fish before drying its wings.

Not unexpectedly (unfortunately) the sale of the Fidelis property fell through. More prospective buyers have contacted the agent. W efigure another week, and if no contract, wait until summer to try again.
