Saturday's Nuneaton Market is our moment in the week to go to the Barrow Boys and buy our fruit & veg for the week!

However, this morning I thought I'd picked up some nice looking Spring Onions. Big, thick, almost meal like in my thoughts, thinking clean them up and slice them length ways have some cheese all between two slices of brown bread or in a roll.

The trouble was they were young leeks, picked early, to be served as whole leeks rather than sliced into rounds as one does with the more normal sized leeks.

Ar well bang goes my lunch idea!
