Barossa Valley
Despite terrible weather forecasts we had a great sunny day and a lovely trip to the heart of wine-making region. Wherever you looked, it was like a postcard. We even saw kangaroos at large, having a rest, but that's not one of them. This cutie with a baby in the pouch was found near Jacob's Creek visitor centre, where we stopped for a quick tasting after our first proper tasting experience in a small vineyard's celler doors, in a private room (members only :) with fire on and a long list of great wines, served one after another in decent quantities, with description and recommendation, which didn't sound poncy at all. Oh, only if I could afford to drink these without special occasions.
After that we pop in to a more commercial, but very welcoming and well designed Jacob's Creek establishment. We tasted a few more wines, purchased some mouldy wine and admired the green hills.
