Water Lily

A very quick visit to the Botanic Gardens in St Andrews. It has been an incredibly hot, sunny day and after walking about 5 miles round St Andrews we nipped into the gardens to check on the water lilies.

There were plenty but the vegetation round the edge of the is so overgrown that it was quite difficult to get a decent view.
Then I spotted a Moorhen and her chick on the open water away from the mass of lily pads.
