The One And Only

Don’t panic! I’m not going to link to that Chesney Hawkes’ song.

Tess planted sone sweet pea seed back in the Spring: they took ages to germinate, grew at a snail’s pace and it’s been a standing joke all Summer that they might flower by Christmas; contrary to expectations, this lone flower finally bloomed this morning. No sign of any others!

We managed a swim in a very busy pool at lunchtime but, other than domestic jobs, have done very little but sit around melting in the heat.
