Geltenhutte from Launensee …

… a beautiful circular route up steep cliffs, an airy, balcony footpath and after a lunch of traditional rösti at the hut, a spectacular walk down the valley with its many huge waterfalls. We met with Pema and Lobsang to say goodbye (or hello for my two friends who had not met our Sherpa friends before) briefly in Gstaad. I had forgotten that Pema speaks Japanese, a delightful surprise for Akemi!

Now the Rugby World Cup is starting and we have David’s rugby mates here. We had a fun dinner before the match which I arrived just 20 minutes before, hence the late blip.
