Day of Productivity

Had a fab day with the Clyde Coast Guild Of Weavers, Spinners and Dyers at The Barony in West Kilbride.

Weaving looms, spinning wheels, drop spindles and knitting were demo'd and there were over 50 off the street public who popped in to have a chat and have a go.

Best for me were the kids that attend the local school. They have one of the Guild's Members and a mum at the school take a weekly "Yarn Club" - these kids are so fired up and confident. One younger child arrived and proved that she was good enough to get into the club by weaving by remembering what her older sister told her at night when they were talking about their day. What a glow that gave me to hear that!! Well done Ange for inspiring those youngsters.

Home to the chilled out but sunburnt parentals - you'd think they'd know better at their age!!...
