Back to the seaside
I wore my sun hat to the wedding yesterday.
Provided some much-needed shade – which the fascinator I was going to wear wouldn't have. It looked somewhat plain so stopped off in Southbourne to look for a floral addition – these little flowers are the best I could find. Sewed them on when I got to the hotel. Matches dress perfectly.
I didn't even bother to change into an evening dress last night, was just too hot and bothered. Felt comfortable as I was.
Still treasure lovely memories of the wedding. The bride looked absolutely stunning in a stylish off-white plain satin dress, worn with a mantilla veil. The newly weds are off to Bali on Sunday. Lucky them.
We drove back, taking the long route via Hungerford where we stopped for a walk and a coffee and cake. Temperature increased to 29° later in the morning. We had intended to have a drink later in Salisbury but didn't find a convenient place to park and it was just too hot there.
Ended up, driving through the north of the New Forest – an area we haven't visited - stopping for a well earned Aspall in an attractive small pub.
Returned home around 4pm. It was like an oven. Threw open the windows, didn't make much difference. Shall miss the aircon we enjoyed in the hotel for 2 nights!
So Good Night all - and thanks for your blipbirthday wishes yesterday
