Storm Sky

We actually had rain for the first time in weeks and it was accompanied by an impressive storm.  Our view from the balcony gives us unrestricted views and I somehow managed to hit the button on the camera at the same time as the lightning.  Yesterday looked like being a bit of a disaster for small businesses everywhere including ours when our payment processing software company had a major crash at about 2:30 pm and it lasted into the night.  Finally, the sales we had done offline began to trickle through today so it wasn't as bad as it might have been, but it was a reminder that technology is never foolproof. 

Spent most of the day reading for my Masters classes and we have been watching Painkiller on Netflix, which is a frightening but valuable series on the opioid crisis.  It is a fictionalized account of a real problem and will hopefully make an impact in some way.
