2023 Thursday — September’s Tunes
“Tunes at Tidelands” is in its second year, but we just learned about it a couple weeks ago when we were there walking the pups. So this was our first experience at this free music moment. We have often gone to the Thursday late afternoon concerts at Stolo Winery in Cambria.
We enjoyed it; we were amazed at the turnout. My photo doesn’t begin to capture the crowd that covered the lawn. The open air venue with the backdrop of the harbor and an occasional boat gliding past is quite spectacular. And the birds were quite entertaining. The pelicans were active the entire time we were there.
Earlier in the day I had attended a women’s luncheon at Morro Bay Presbyterian Church which is where the Bible Study Fellowship group meets that I attend. I’ve never been to any of the church’s women’s program, so I was slightly out of my comfort zone because I was not going there with a friend. It turned out to be a wonderful couple of hours. The food was delicious; Jenn, the children’s pastor, spoke; and everyone was very friendly. I’m really glad I went.
This was a very enjoyable first Thursday in September.
